I visited family in Asheville for my Thanksgiving weekend. They are big into bikes. Not the ones with pedals or the ones confused with mopeds. Triumphs and Ducatis. They’re starting to share some love for the Genuine brand though. Anyway, we went to a dirt bike race. Kids younger than 10 and adults younger than 10.

I found 3 broken :(

I was so gung ho about riding the mountain bike in the cold weather yesterday and utterly disappointed to find three broken spokes. No wonder the wheel was wobbly. I bent the heck out of them to remind myself to replace them.

Saturday night I took a friend for a 60 mile scooter ride in 40* weather. We’re dumb, but spontaneous, so that overrules being dumb.

heat packs from walmart - check
open face helmets - check
ninja face mask - check
ski goggles - check (funny)
missing your turn from having fun - priceless

Lesson learned? Wear a full face helmet when it’s 40* outside.
